In the preface to the General Report of the 25th World Road Congress of Seoul, the very famous locution all roads lead to Rome is remembered. This way of saying originates from the system of roads of ancient Rome, still the basis of the Italian road system operated by ANAS SpA to which I belong. Most of the so-called consular roads started from Rome, which was the starting point for calculating distances, and therefore also, "led to Rome". Roman roads were the sign of the Pax Romana and now are part of the world's heritage.
