Electric Road Systems: Engaging with Stakeholders for Successful Implementation for Net Zero
The Inter-government Panel on Climate Change (IPCC, 2013) robustly and unequivocally confirmed in 2013 that global warming of mother earth is due to greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, which are predominantly related to human activity of which road transport is a major one. Since 1990 the average surface temperature has increased by 1°C and this will continue to increase to intolerable level if left unchecked. Since the International Paris Agreement on climate change in 2015, world leaders have generally agreed to the need to limit global warming to 1.5°C by 2100.
