The Swedish Winter Model is a winter maintenance management system and it has been developed in accordance with Swedish road conditions. It can be used to calculate costs for a whole winter season, but also for future weather scenarios. As a theoretical test, calculations of a "typical" winter season experienced in the 2050s and 2080s will be analysed and compared with a current standardised winter. However, in this paper, only a small theoretical analysis will be made on the effects from climate change on the winter maintenance and socio-economical costs.
