UK Roads Sector Addresses Global Challenges

A core theme of UK’s involvement with PIARC is seeking to share ideas and provide solutions for the roads community and to do so in an internationally collaborative way. Back in 1908, the Congress in London, UK, focused on, for the first time, issues related to the organization of road services and road financing. Improving diversity and inclusion, making the road network inclusive for people with disabilities, attracting the next generation of talent, and achieving net zero have been more recently in focus.
