The Mexican Association of Road Engineering (Asociación Mexicana de Ingeniería de Vías Terrestres, Asociación Civil – AMIVTAC) is made up of engineers specialising in roads. It was founded in 1974 and the aims it pursues are mainly technical, but also economic, insofar as its various activities enable it to raise enough funds for it to operate self-sufficiently. It is a non-profit association with 3,525 members.
