W e chose the motto "Together on the road again" for our 27th World Road Congress in October 2023 in Prague. This indeed underlines the "return to normal" we hope for this important rendezvous. The Organisation Committee is now working at full pace, and we have just closed a very successful call for communications, with around 740 proposals from more than 80 countries. The first place was won by the host country, the Czech Republic, which made tremendous efforts to reach out to its road community and attained a remarkable turnout. My sincere thanks to all authors who, eager to share their knowledge on the various topics of the call, took the time to submit abstracts. Technical committees are now mobilized to review these abstracts, and the final selection will occur by mid-November. Busy autumn awaits them.
