Road pricing for heavy vehicles: a key for financing road infrastructure? A successful example in Austria

Austria after Switzerland was one of the first countries in Europe to introduce an electronic charging system for heavy vehicles. Germany then followed in 2005, the Czech Republic in 2007 and in 2010 Slovakia and Poland.
