This article provides a brief introduction in the traditions of close cooperation among all three Baltic states in the road sector. Although few in numbers and speaking different languages, the experts from road administrations have established the tradition of regular meetings already 92 years ago and since 1989 under the umbrella of the Baltic Road Association managers and experts in a number of fields, e.g. road construction, routine maintenance or traffic safety meet regularly to find solutions and exchange best practices implemented by each individual country. The tradition of mutual conferences in the year 2021 will mark its 30th anniversary as the 30th International Baltic Road Conference will be held in late August in Rīga, Latvia.
