During the PIARC Council meeting held in Rome in November 2013, the Ecuadorian Society of Transport Engineering (Sociedad Ecuatoriana de Ingeniería de Transporte - or SEIT) was officially recognized as the country's committee in this major international technical association, making it PIARC's newest National Committee.
