Adelaide, the capital city of South Australia, has an extensive at-grade grid road system associated with a high degree of built urban form lining many key arterial roads. Over the next 30 years, the state's transport authority, in a bipartisan funding arrangement with the Australian Government, plan to develop a free flowing North-South transport corridor that runs between a key locality North of the city (Gawler) and to a key locality in the South (Old Noarlunga).
